Nope not a chance, bluetooth will live on – quite why the iPhone would threaten that I don’t know as it doesn’t actually have full Bluetooth functionality itself.

As for Blackberry, the MD of RIM (the company behind Blackberry) has many products in the pipeline that will blow the iPhone off the face of the earth.

Personally I think the iPhone has been overhyped – the list of cons far outweigh any pros.

I would just like to know what you initially thought of Bluetooth products or systems that you have used or experienced at home or at work when Bluetooth had first been introduced? And how your attitudes have changed with more advanced Bluetooth technology which is currently available?

When it first entered the market, I didn’t automatically see all the possiblities. I just saw colleagues walking around with these silly things in their ears and thought, “What a show off!”
Now that I’ve seen most of the possibilities turn into realities and realized the potential, I think it is amazing technology and it has definately revolutionized alot of products.

On a consumer level, look at all the digital frames that you can just Bluetooth your cell phone photos to, or the Polaroid Pogo; a Bluetooth digital printer that gives us back the Intstant Photo “in our hands” gratification. Don’t forget those big weird headsets are now so small you hardly notice them, and the quality and ease of use has improved drastically.

On a business level, you can Bluetooth all of your contacts from one phone to another, or Bluetooth a business card to a group of colleagues.

There are so many possibilites and so many more coming. My opinion continues to improve with each new technology that Bluetooth has to offer.

is your dongle paired up to both the nokia & sony? if they are then that may be causing a connection conflict, i dont think you need to uninstal your sony pc software. try looking up troubleshooter on the nokia web site.

After the release of smartphone statistics reports of 2010 that showed that the smartphones that support Bluetooth Marketing was the most common smartphones in the world:

2 RIM, Canada 11.2 million for 18%

3 Apple, USA 8.4 million for 14%

4 HTC, Taiwan 4.5 million for 7%

Nielson Company releases stats on smartphone usage in October 2010 showing that only 3.5% of smartphone users use Symbian Devices, this means that US markets is no more a good market for Bluetooth Advertising.

StatCounter Global Stats claims that near 75% of Africa’s smartphone users use Symbian OS smartphones, and near 57% of Asia’s smartphone users use Symbian OS smartphones and near 52% of South America’s smartphone users uses Symbian OS smartphones.

These smartphones that supports Bluetooth Marketing technology are mainly concentrated in Africa, South America and Asia.
